Vendor Insurance

The Need for Liability Insurance

Insurance is a cost of doing business in today’s marketplace. Liability issues resulting in lawsuits are becoming more common. As such, we require our membership to carry their own liability insurance policies as well as obtain certificates of insurance or a copy of the letter showing their participation in the Alberta Farmers’ Market Association (AFMA) policy.

NOTE: Vendors that have switched insurance providers to WFG have saved 30 – 50% by doing so.

Vendor Insurance Coverage

Please note: to qualify for vendor insurance you must be a member of the Alberta Farmers Market Association (AFMA) who sells at an Approved Alberta Farmers’ Market. Note: Vendors are not covered under EDFMA’s  group policy; therefore it is a requirement that vendors carry their own liability insurance. Once you have paid your membership for the year, you can apply for insurance here!
