Edmonton Downtown Farmers Market Association is a small, community-based non-profit that has been serving the community with local food since 1903. Over 100 years later, EDFM is playing a critical role in supporting small farms and essential food access in a world that has experienced vast changes since the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
We need your help. More than 60 small farms and food businesses rely on EDFM for their livelihoods, and hundreds of people depend on us for access to fresh, healthy food. Now, more than ever, Farmer’s Markets are essential. Edmonton Downtown Farmers Market Association is a non-profit organization with a mandate to support our community by increasing access to producers and growers.
We support start-ups that build our economy, give platforms to other nonprofit organizations to increase their visibility, and give opportunities to vendors who support and employ people from marginalized communities.
As a farmers’ market, we care about increasing access to healthy, local food in our community but we also strive to create opportunities for our community to engage with art, music, and culture. EDFMA is more than a market. It’s an experience.
